Hadden Theatre Supply is a movie equipment company founded by Mr. J. Stoner Hadden in 1940. In the beginning the store was located on South Third Street in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. In the 1950's Mr. Hadden sold more drive-in theatre equipment than any other dealer in the world.

In 1976, Mr. Hadden sold the business to Louis and Louise Bornwasser. At first the Bornwasser's operated the business in their home. In 1985 Hadden Theatre Supply moved into an office and warehouse in an industrial park in Louisville.

The seventies and eighties brought many changes to the cinema business with the advent of stereo sound, platters, automation, computers, and many more. Hadden Theatre Supply has kept up with the changes and has even made some innovations of its own.

In 1991 Hadden Theatre Supply moved into a spacious new location at 10201 Bunsen Way which has a large warehouse space. Business was so good, and the need for uniquely manufactured items so great that we expanded the building ten years later.

In the twenty-first century we are still keeping up with cinema changes. We provide equipment, automation systems and xenon bulbs compatible with digital equipment. However, we have not forgotten theatres with traditional equipment. We serve cinema owners -- large and small.
